UNMC contributes to this national ambition through its specific commercial mandate in the mineral sector.
As Uganda’s State commercial vehicle in mining and minerals, UNMC manages the State’s commercial interests and participating interests, undertakes selected mining ventures, enters strategic partnerships and supports the development of mineral value chains.

From National Vision to Commercial Action
UNMC does not implement the entire Vision 2040 agenda. Its contribution is specific: to strengthen Uganda’s ability to participate commercially in the development of its mineral resources and capture greater value from them.
