April 2025 | Adjumani, Uganda. The National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U), in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance and the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), has successfully concluded a nationwide series of Regional Leadership Engagements under the Uganda Digital Acceleration Project (UDAP-GovNet).
Held under Component 3 of the project, these engagements aimed to strengthen digital inclusion in refugee settlements and host communities by building partnerships, raising awareness, and inducting local champions to drive Uganda’s digital transformation agenda at the grassroots level.
The final engagement took place in Adjumani District, marking the completion of a five-region outreach effort.
As the engagement series concludes, NITA-U will continue to work closely with district leaders and partners to implement ICT infrastructure, deliver digital skilling programs, and extend e-government services—ensuring that all Ugandans benefit from a connected, inclusive, and digitally empowered future.
